Central Park East II  (CPE2): School Garden Partnership

  • Format: Twice a week for three weeks in the spring, plus greenhouse sessions twice a week for three weeks.
  • Audience: Pre-K through 8th grade students
  • Location: East Harlem, New York
  • Description: School-based environmental education program in partnership with Central Park East II. Through hands-on learning in the school garden and greenhouse, students explore seasonal cycles, seed saving, composting, pollinators, and food systems.
  • Impact: Supports ecological literacy while helping students strengthen their connection to nature, culture, and community.
The  Renaissance Charter School (TRCS) Permaculture Design Lab - Leadership Program 

  • ​Format: Once-a-week, 90-minute class
  • Audience: High school students
  • Location: Queens, New York
  • Description: A permaculture and environmental education program for high school students at Renaissance Charter School. The program engaged students in hands-on, place-based learning that introduced ecological design, sustainability, and leadership development through direct experience designing Sky Farm LIC .
  • Impact: This was the first high school program model. Students gained exposure to regenerative thinking and practical environmental concepts, while the program became the foundation for our long-term work in schools.
Little Growers

  • ​Format: summer
  • Audience: Youth ages 12–17
  • Location: Melbourne, Florida
  • Partners: Little Growers
  • Description: Youth permaculture education program developed in partnership with Little Growers as part of the Earn and Learn program. Students were introduced to permaculture through hands-on environmental learning connected to local ecological challenges, including rain gardens and water stewardship in the Indian River Lagoon region.
  • Impact: Helped youth build practical ecological knowledge while strengthening their understanding of land, water, and community-based environmental solutions.
